A public relations spectacular.

Marcel was growing and excited about upcoming projects in the next year. When this CRE property developer client mentioned how the “same old” groundbreaking ceremony had grown stale, Hallaron knew there was a Public Relations opportunity to be seized. Marcel’s account team at the agency called in our Public Relations department and together they came up with a plan.

In March of 2019, and two months later in May, Hallaron coordinated and publicized a new type of CRE groundbreaking ceremony for this important client. Marcel’s “Groundbreaking for a Cause” (GFAC) ceremonies in Fulshear and in Sugarland brought together local charities and city administrators to join in celebrating the start of two exciting new community-focused development projects. Marcel’s Cross Creek Town Center GFAC event in Fulshear and its MARCEL District GFAC event in Sugarland both brought together representatives from six different local charities, who each took back a $5,000 check to their respective organizations from Marcel.

The Hallaron Public Relations team worked seamlessly with the Accounts team to coordinate every aspect of the event, from social media awareness, to local press releases, commemorative branded souvenirs, photography, and event management including food and beverage for attendees. The client was thrilled with both events, as were the honored participants, and Marcel’s profile in the local community was raised in the best possible way.
